Restaurant Review: Gandhi Tandoori (St Paul’s Bay)

It’s a little taste of India in the North of Malta.
Except that I am obliged to report that in fact it’s a pretty Giant taste of India, although you will hear no complaints from me on that score.

It was low season when we visited, and so the place was sparsely populated and service accordingly prompt and courteous.

We probably experienced a touch of Big Eyes syndrome, and ordered a mighty sized platter apiece, featuring a mixture of mostly grilled meats and veg along with coconut rice and a couple of Indian beers.

I know that in the UK and Ireland Indian food is traditionally thought of as a take-away option, but if you do feel like eating out then you won’t go wrong here.  The dishes are very reasonably priced, and the quality of food on offer was really decent too.

Ticks all the boxes, and worth leaving the sofa behind to get out to the Gandhi Tandoori.

Meaty Dish:  Lamb Tikka Masala – €9.80
Fishy Dish:  Goan Fish Curry – €8.00
Veggie Dish:  Mushroom Bhaji – €5.50
